Responsibilities:
1. Research and Trend Analysis:
- Stay updated on current fashion trends, materials, and technologies in the bag and accessories industry.
- Conduct market research to identify consumer preferences and competitor offerings.
2. Conceptualization and Design:
- Generate creative and innovative ideas for new bag and accessory designs.
- Develop sketches, mood boards, and design concepts to communicate ideas effectively.
- Consider functionality, aesthetics, and market demands while creating designs.
3. Material Selection:
- Source and select appropriate materials for each design, considering factors such as durability, cost, and sustainability.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality materials.
4. Technical Drawings and Specifications:
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturers to follow during the production process.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and are feasible for mass production.
5. Prototype Development:
- Collaborate with sample makers or manufacturers to create prototypes of designs.
- Evaluate and make necessary adjustments to prototypes, considering practicality and user experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design
- Proven experience as a Bag and Accessories Designer.
- Strong creative and artistic abilities.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of materials, production processes, and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Awareness of market trends and consumer preferences.
